A Touch of Home for Our Troops The ECW has placed boxes in the parish hall to collect items for our troops. They are requesting reading material (soft cover), puzzle books, stationery, note cards, phone cards, gum, hard candy, personal cleansing cloths, tooth paste and lip balm. On the 4th Sunday of every other month bring in some baked goods! |

Race to Read---Diocese of Lexington's Reading Camp 5K--Save the Date! The 2nd annual Race to Read 5K and Fun Walk will be March 24, 2012 at Lexington's Cold-stream Park (off of Newtown Pike). The suggested donation is $10 for the Fun Walk, $12 for Students--5K, and $20 for Adults--5K. All proceeds from the race support Reading Camp, an intensive remedial literacy summer camp program. Each child accepted to Reading Camp receives a full scholarship to attend. By participating in Race to Read, you are helping a child learn to read! Community Medical Mission Needs Our Help If you are able to help prepare a simple (sandwiches, wraps, etc) meal for the 12-14 volunteers who staff the Community Medical Mission, who help to provide health care to Scott County's unemployed and uninsured, please speak to Jenny Lou Shirley or Carol Adams. Holy Trinity is scheduled to assist on the first Thursday of alternating months. Our next date to host the meal is March 1. |
